UNDER 10 CRICKET
Stage 1 cricket format
- Beginner Cricketers Aged 8 or 9 as at September 1st 2024
- Play off a shortened pitch and boundaries to make it easier and more engaging
- Matches played on Friday Nights 5pm – 7.30pm
- Using a modified plastic cricket ball
- Protective clothing required to get used to wearing it before using harder cricket balls at Under 12 (some club kit available or bring your own)
- All matches are played in the fun 20/20 format
- All players bat and bowl each game
- Matches to have maximum 7 players in the field
UNDER 12 CRICKET
- Aged 10 or 11 as at September 1st 2024
- Play off shortened pitch and boundaries to make it easier and more engaging
- Matches played on Saturday morning from 8.15am to approximately 11am
- Using a modified small cricket ball for easy grip
- Wear full protective clothing (some club kit available or bring your own)
- Stage 2 Competition matches are 1 Day 25/25 format with maximum 9 players in the field
- Full 1 Day & 2 Day Competition matches are 20/20 or 35 over format, with 11 players in the field – recommended for advanced U12 Cricketers
UNDER 14 CRICKET
- Aged 12 or 13 as at September 1st 2024
- Matches played on Sunday morning 8.30am – 11am
- Using a 142g small cricket ball for easy grip
- Wear full protective clothing (some club kit available or bring your own)
- Play off full length pitch, with shorter boundaries for greater engagement
- Matches are 20/20 format or 40 over 2 day format
- Opportunities for advanced players to train and play with the U16 and/or senior squad
- All players bowl each game
UNDER 16 CRICKET
- Aged 14 or 15 as as September 1st 2024
- Matches played on Friday Night 5pm – 7.30pm
- Wear full protective clothing (some club kit available or bring your own)
- Play off full length pitch
- Matches are 20/20 format or 45 over 2 day format
- Opportunities for advanced players to train and play with the senior squad
